Once a month, Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., beginning August 23, 2023. Phyllis Farrar will be your host. If you can’t attend in two weeks, then we hope to see next month, September 27.

Wir freuen uns auf ein schönes Beisammensein. Bis bald!

-
A “can-do” check list of each session will be provided to the learners for self-assessment of their language learning. Each “can-do” check list is made based on NCSSFL-ACTFL Can-Do Statements that address three modes: interpretive communication, interpersonal communication, and presentational communication. (https://www.actfl.org/educator-resources/ncssfl-actfl-can-do-statements ).

Learners make useful connections between the language and their knowledge and interests in other fields, such as Mathematics, Science, Geography, Art, Music, etc.
-

Long-term

-
Learners are encouraged to pursue the Seal of Biliteracy: a certificate awarded to students who have attained specific minimal functional levels of proficiency in two or more languages. The Global Seal of Biliteracy (https://theglobalseal.com/).
